Description An Antique George V Sterling silver cutlery set which has been made in the rat tail design for six persons. This set has been well cared for over the years and is still in excellent condition. It consists of:

6 x table knives measuring 23.70 cms in length
6 x dessert knives measuring 21 10 cms in length
6 x table forks measuring 20.10 cms in length
6 x dessert forks measuring 17.40 cms in length
6 x soup spoons measuring 19.50 cms in length
6 x dessert spoons measuring 17.40 cms in length
6 x teaspoons measuring 12.00 cms in length
6 x fish knives measuring 21.20 cms in length
6 x fish forks measuring 18.80 cms in length
3 x serving spoons measuring 20.40 cms in length

The majority of this silver cutlery set was made by Cooper brothers in 1925 and 1926. The table and dessert knives were replaced in 1965 and have silver handles with stainless steel blades and at the same time six silver fish knives and forks with silver handles and blades were added to complete the set. The table knives and fish set were made by Mappin and Webb. The total weight of this set is 74 troy ounces excluding the table and dessert knives and there are 57 pieces in total. This set would look appealing on the table and would be perfect to use. There are useful wraps to keep this set neat and tidy.
